I called the NVC on Monday and they didn’t have us in the computer yet. She said to wait a week and then call back. Well, I am not known for my patience
So, I called again today. Lo and behold, we were logged in Monday and logged out TODAY. This means our Visa Cable is on it’s way to the Korean Embassy via DHL and hopefully they’ll get it Friday. We still need P3 and Visa Interview, then TC. Time lines are sketchy because some people get NVC to TC very quickly, and others take 3 to 4 weeks. I am praying that we only have to wait 1 1/2 to 2 weeks more.

In/Out of NVC!

I-171!!!
We FINALLY received our official paperwork saying our I-600 was approved and sent on to the NVC. YAY!! It feels good to have it in my hands, even if I have no clue how long it will take to get there and for us to get TC.
This week I finally washed all of Caroline’s clothes and put them away. I did an inventory to decide what I still need to get. Once we have a clear idea of when she’s coming home, I’ll buy formula and food. I am starting to see the end of this torture!

Our prayers were ANSWERED!
Dillon was notified by CIS that they will CONTINUE to process I-600a and I-600’s through the audit!!!! So that means they’ll be mailing our paperwork to the NVC soon. (They said next week but I don’t know why they are waiting another week to do it, I am praying it is TOMORROW!) Praise GOD that we don’t have to wait another 2 weeks for it to be sent out!!! Maybe she’ll be home by January 15!!! (pretty sad when I am excited by that!)
Imo is going to Caroline’s 9 month appt, so I’ve asked Mom to ask her to borrow someone’s camara and take pictures. I am DYING to see how much my girl has grown up!!
More distressing news from CIS
It appears we are now caught in a nationwide USCIS audit. They won’t be sending any I-600’s to NVC until after January 5. So even if we got approval (which I don’t know if we did or not) it will continue to sit on someone’s desk (because 80 days JUST WASN’T ENOUGH!) until after the 5th.
Yeah, that’s right, our government isn’t happy just making us wait 90 days for our approval, they want to KICK US WHILE WE ARE DOWN TOO! THANKS!
No words can describe how I am feeling, other than completely and utterly in shock.
UPDATE: We DO have approval!!!

Which ornament doesn’t belong?
Ryan saw something similar (with a real cat) on the Holt forums and so he wanted to show me that Tigger decided to do the same thing. So cute! Yes, I know our tree is leaning. It’s 11 years old and after 2 adoptions, we can’t afford a new one this year. LOL. Next year will ROCK though!
He FINALLY got a haircut yesterday as well. He’s such a little boy! He has also discovered something new. Gum. Notice the blue in his teeth?

Falling into pieces
Every day that we don’t have travel clearance, my heart just loses another piece. Every day that my STUPID GOVERNMENT doesn’t do what they are SUPPOSED TO DO, my heart loses another piece. My forum friends, who received their referrals after us, have TC. They are going to Korea to meet their precious children. While I can’t bear to go into my daughter’s room for fear of falling apart completely. While waiting for Ryan, I spent HOURS in his room, but then I only waited 9 weeks for him. We’ve waited 13 weeks already with no end in sight… I am truly happy for my friends, but oh so sad for us.
Prayers for strength during this last leg of our journey. Pray that I can be present this holiday season and remember those gifts I have already received from our Heavenly Father.

Caroline’s Room
Finally took some pics of Caro’s room!
I also took some pics to show you some outfits I put together.
Some dresses that Nana Holmoni bought
I can’t wait to start washing some of these! I still need to buy formula and food, but that will wait until we have TC. I AM SO READY!!!!!

Passport!
Our agency emailed us yesterday and let us know that Caroline has her passport! So the next step is I-600 approval and visa. Once CIS approves our paperwork, they’ll send it on and hopefully it will get to Korea within 3 weeks or so. Then they’ll have her visa interview and then TC. Please pray that she’ll be home in December. I really think it will be in January, but it would be a great Christmas/New Year’s gift to have her home by then end of 2008.
