Imo got to go to Caroline’s 8 month checkup. She said she is growing so big she has already outgrown the clothes that we sent to her in October!! She said she weighs about 19 lbs and is 28 inches long. She is such a happy baby and of course, she said the prettiest girl in line to see the doctor. She says she is ALOT in personality to Ryan. (OH NO!
) She is fairly easy going but when she wants something she lets you know about it. She also prefers it to be quiet when she sleeps. So she isn’t a good napper. Unfortunately that might be a problem in our house. hehe
Something interesting to know : As Imo was sitting with Ms. Park waiting to see the doctor, all the foster Mom’s talk. They ask each other where the babies are going. Of ALL the girls in the line we were the only ones going to America. They couldn’t believe that a healthy girl was going to America. They asked Imo who we were and were we important people in America. They asked if we bribed an official. LOL! Imo told them that we had the man upstairs helping us :0)
I am at a loss of what to do. We are at 63 days waiting for I-600 approval. I got a contact number at our Congressman’s office. I am trying to decide if I should bother calling. I know some people it actually helped and others it did nothing. I suppose the worst thing that could happen is nothing. What do I have to lose?
to get you busy cleaning. I seriously woke up this morning, my whole body just ACHING. I’m like GREAT now I have the flu. Well, as I am complaining to my annoyingly alert husband, he says, you cleaned house yesterday. Ahha! For the record, I do surface cleaning every week. Vacuum, dust, pick up (which is constant with Ryan here) changing sheets, etc. I do NOT clean bathrooms, mop floors, wash windows every week.
My mother-in-law is a clean freak and I always have the motivation to clean for her. hehe I guess I don’t want her to know I am really a slob. I *think* they read this blog, so she’ll know now. And she’ll laugh because she is all knowing and all seeing ;P Here she is schooling us in Gemblo (less than 3 points! Freakishly good!) At BolGuksa Temple while siteseeing with the fam.
So, I’ve popped 3 ibuprofen with my morning coffee. I am really hoping it takes effect soon, as I still have some cleaning to do!
Just a quick prayer request : I talked to my mother-in-law Suk Cha and she has hurt her back again. They are still coming to visit, but the flight will be painful for her. Please say a prayer that she won’t be in too much pain and that she’ll be able to relax and recuperate while she is here. Thanks!
Hey Adoption Fans,
Just wanted to let everyone know the scoop. Our social worker let us know that the person who contacts CIS did and they told her that due to staff changes our I-600 hadn’t been approved yet. But they will get to it, just do not have a time frame in which it will be done. November 25 will be 2 months. It took them roughly 4 months to approve our I-600A (which is the form you file to make the I-600 FASTER). Our first I-600 was approved extremely quickly, so I figured this one would be too. Bleh.
So, basically no news. I’ll keep ya posted.
Mike’s parents finally got back from Korea this week and they emailed about 40 pictures!! I have been trying to upload them to our photo website but for some reason it isn’t working…so I’ll just post a few here for now. My mother-in-law is the woman on the left and her older sister, our Kun Imo (oldest Aunt on mother’s side) is the woman on the right. I think Caro looks JUST LIKE my mother-in-law. I guess all the workers there were telling her the same thing!
The BIG SPECIAL SECRET NEWS from a few posts ago is this : Kun Imo will be bringing our precious Caroline home to us when she gets travel clearance. She’ll be traveling with our nephew who speaks english (she’ll need some help in immigration). Hopefully it won’t be much longer. We just reached 8 weeks wait now. Eastern told mom and dad that it probably won’t be until after January 1st. Which is consistent with what Jan has told us. BLEH! If we wait until after the 1st then it will be 17 weeks to TC. I am praying that they are just being conservative and we’ll get TC anywhere between 11 and 14 weeks.
Some things you might want to know about Caro:
*She can belly crawl.
*She can bite her toes while sitting up.
*She is very social and adapts easily. (BONUS!)
*She knows her own mind and makes sure you know it too.
*She comforts easily and doesn’t cry much. (PTL!)
*She is finally starting to teeth, drools a small amount, but not as much as Ryan. (Who was a DROOL MACHINE until he was 3!)
*She is developmentally on target (according to Eastern’s doctor) and her height and weight are on target too.
*She is just a little smaller than Ryan was at the same age.
She sounds perfect to me! COME ON CIS!!! I-600 APPROVAL KKTHX!
