A Day Out with Thomas

We went to OKC with our friends the Wolff’s so our boys could see Thomas. He came in from the Island of Sodor especially to see Ryan and A.W.

While there, we got pictures with Thomas

Ryan got to play with the Lego Duplo trains

And the best part, playing on the playground!

We stopped by the zoo for a couple of hours as well. The OKC zoo ROCKS!

Apples!

We went to Porter, Oklahoma and picked apples at Livesay Orchards. It was perfect weather and the boys were just thrilled to be together.

They were SO enthusiastic on picking that we had to remind them to pick the RED ones. hehe I plan on making an apple cobbler with mine tonight.

I helped to hold up the smaller boys so their heads would pop through the holes in the truck, so I only have this picture of Ryan. I will post the picture of all of them when I get it from Anita.

On another note, we got an update on Caroline. She is growing beautifully. She is 17 lbs and 26 inches long. She is starting to belly crawl and jump on your lap. Ryan did this when he came home, our arms were exhausted! She is loud when she is happy (again, like Ryan) and she is good natured. I can’t WAIT to go get her!!!

Legals?

It’s been almost 2 weeks since we accepted Caro’s paperwork and we still haven’t gotten legals. *sigh* Jan said it’s been taking roughly 2 weeks, so I am praying it is this week. After we get them, we’ll file the I-600 again and hope that the other one won’t mess us up.

In other news, Emily got her referral of a gorgeous baby boy last week. We are SO happy for them!

We had the Dillon play date at La Fortune park on Saturday and then afterwards we picked up Mike and drove over to Catoosa and the Big Blue Whale. Ryan thought it was pretty darn cool. He LOVES marine animals.

Someone didn’t want his picture taken, can you guess who? Feeding the fish with Ryan’s friend A.W.

And the name is…..

if you didn’t already notice the title up there, Caroline! Ya’ll have such great taste :P Thanks so much for your input. We were leaning towards Caroline because that was the other name we had picked out in case of girl/girl twins. Mike really wanted to make sure nothing else caught his eye but nothing did, so Caroline she is. I was really surprised everyone liked it so well! Yay! I think she looks just like a Caroline.

Now, Jan is still quoting 3-6 months and I mentioned traveling in December to DK and she said “oh no, that will be too soon!” So I hope she was just being conservative!! Time frames seem to be on target for 3 months, so PRAY that she is home by Christmas!!

Sending a prayer for all my forum friends that are waiting that they’ll receive their referrals soon. Especially Emily and Sunny!!!

We have a Daughter!

What an AMAZING GOD we have! I REALLY didn’t think we’d get a girl this time. My prayers were answered!!! I KNEW I had a daughter in Korea and I was SO sad when our other referral fell through. My heart was broken for the daughter I wouldn’t have. I have prayed every day for the child we were meant to have. I am so happy to announce that MinYeong will join our family. We found out about her on Friday and it was the LONGEST weekend of my life!! We sent her information in to an IAP (International Adoption Pediatrician) and they finally answered on Tuesday. What a relief to have confirmed what we already knew in our hearts. This girl is OURS! ;P

She is just beautiful! She was born March 20, 2008. She is already rolling over and saying Omma. When we signed the paperwork today, Ryan showed off her picture and yelled “That’s my sister!”

Now for the hard part, naming her. We had decided way before our first referral that our daughter’s name would be Evangeline (Evie). However, I just don’t know if I feel right about calling this child the same name. We’ve decided to look at other names tonight and see if we can come up with another name that we like as well. Here is a list we are working on :

Tatum
Eryn
Caroline
Piper
Dragon
Pots and Pans
(these last 2 are Ryan’s choices)

What do you think?

Preschool Update

Ryan is doing great! The second time I dropped him off he cried for about 5 minutes. The 3rd time I dropped him off it was about 3 minutes and he stopped crying before I left the room. The 4th time I dropped him off he cried about 1 minute and said “goodbye, have a good day!”. I am SO proud of him!! He really really likes it and every day I pick him up he says he had a good time and a good day. I am curious how good he really is doing, so I can’t wait until we have parent-teacher conferences.

Our trip to KC was great. We got to meet Marty’s special friend Susan and her 3 kids. I have to say, having triplets would KILL me. These 3 were absolutely awesome kids and Ryan REALLY liked Madeline. He just adores older girls! Since we seem to have that theme in our family, I guess we’re cool with it :P

Here’s a couple of pictures :

I would like to close by saying please pray for us. That’s all I can say right now! :) wink wink
